Washing Your Konvy T-Shirts: Best Practices
T-shirts are the backbone of any merch collection. They see the most action and the most mistakes.
Step 1: Turn Inside Out
Always flip your Konvy tee inside out before washing. This protects the print from direct abrasion. The friction inside the machine mainly hits the inside fabric, not the design.
Step 2: Choose Cold Water
Set your machine to cold (below 30°C / 86°F). Hot water breaks down the binder in plastisol and water-based inks. Cold water preserves the bond between print and fabric.
Step 3: Use a Gentle Detergent
Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and enzyme-heavy detergents. They strip colors and weaken fibers. Use a mild, color-safe detergent. I recommend 2 tablespoons for a medium load.
Step 4: Select a Delicate Cycle
Pick the "delicate" or "gentle" cycle. It reduces agitation speed and cycle time. A normal cycle at 30 minutes is fine. Anything longer increases wear.
Pro tip: If your tee has a large back print, place it in a mesh laundry bag. This adds an extra layer of protection against snagging.
